Killington Hay Festival

September 3rd through October 17th. 

Celebrating Vermont agriculture. Visit  the Killington Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center to pick up a scavenger hunt guide to view the magnificent hay sculptures located at area businesses along Route 4, Route 100 and Kilington Road.

Commissioner Hyde will join local businesses, Killington town officials and representatives of the Audubon Society Thursday Sept 2 at 11am to cut the ribbon on the month-long celebration known as the Killington Hay Festival and Grass Menagerie. The menagerie consists of 35 massive sculptures made from Vermont hay, a hay maze and a series of family activities and events. The festival attracts thousands of tourists each year. The kickoff will take place in front of a giant hay pelican, constructed in support of the Audubon Society’s efforts in the Gulf. The town is partnering with National Audubon to raise funds and awareness for bird and habitat restoration in the Gulf of Mexico.
